Burma, Signature Half
The size of bangle which opens is not as critical – it is is more to your personal inclination. Some prefer lose, others a snug feel.
You have two alternatives for the measurements:
Measure by using an existing bangle
If you have an existing bangle which is perfect size and the same shape as the one you are currently designing, use a ruler and measure both the short and long inner diameter of your bangle. This is all you will need for your new bangle.
Note: this bangle is oval in shape, you can take measurements from an existing oval bangle, but measurements from round bangle do not correspond well. Also, a length of bracelet may not result ideal size.
Tools needed: ruler or measuring tape, either in centimeters (cm) and inches (in).
Measure without an existing bangle for reference
If you don’t have any old bangles for reference, no problem. Ask yourself how low / high would you like the bangle to fall when your arm is down / up ? This is the place you should measure the size. Use a flexible measuring tape or string and a ruler to measure the circumference on this spot.
You will need a flexible measuring tape, easy body measuring tape or just a basic one. If you have no measuring tape, use a piece of string and measure it on ruler.
